For 31 years I proudly served London as a police officer. It was my honour to have delivered the eulogy at a number of funerals for fallen officers, police staff and members of the local communities. I also spoke at too many funerals for victims of murder and gang violence.
It is said that only a fellow police officer can truly understand what it means to wear the police uniform, serve the public, keep them safe and face daily confrontation and dangers.
